My Summer Afternoon Pick-Me-Up

I have been making one of these in the afternoon when I need an extra kick to get through the rest of the day. Inspired by my free drink I used to make myself during my good ole Starbucks barista days. Good thing it was free. To buy a Grande-Soy-Chai-with a banana-&-half a pump of toffee nut (optional) would cost you upwards of about $7. Then I might also ask them to put it in a venti cup since the banana could add some volume and you want to get all that money in the cup! (We all no that soy isn’t the best for ya so I used to keep my own rice milk in the back fridge.)

Chai Smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 part oregon chai concentrate (about 3/4 c.)
  • 1 part “milk”; I used unsweetened Silk almond milk (about 3/4 c.)
  • top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg

 

This is when a magic bullet can really come in handy, but blend it up however you can and enjoy!
